Orban Urges Trump, Putin Meeting
In a recent interview released on Thursday on the Ultrahang YouTube channel, Orban referred to Trump as “the man of peace,” while simultaneously casting doubt on the authenticity of Western leaders' efforts — including those in Kiev — to pursue a genuine resolution.
According to Orban, “Everyone says they want peace, but there’s still war. That means someone is lying,” implying that certain actors might benefit from the continuation of hostilities.
He emphasized, “They want the war to continue, no matter what they say.”
Orban maintained that the armed conflict is unlikely to come to an end unless Putin and Trump engage in direct talks.
He voiced optimism that such high-level negotiations could serve as a stepping stone toward a broader consensus, encompassing not only the situation in Ukraine but also encompassing issues like global commerce and arms regulation.
