The disaster management authority detailed widespread destruction affecting homes, livestock shelters, government offices, roads, water supply networks, and power lines across the region.
In response, Himachal Pradesh’s local government has escalated emergency services to the highest alert level.
Following the heavy downpour, officials noted a significant rise in water levels across all major rivers and streams throughout the state.
Landslides continue to disrupt transportation, with nearly 40 roads reported blocked in the hardest-hit zones.
Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert, forecasting heavy to very heavy rainfall in Himachal Pradesh for the next two days.
